Zombie High plushes may be infecting an arcade near youWestern arcade prizes are a generally overlooked category on this side despite a wealth of cool items. The most recent of which, and just in time for Halloween, is Sugar Loaf's (aka National Entertainment Network?) Zombie High series. These zombie high schoolers bear some similarities to Sugar Loaf's previously produced Marvel characters in terms of size and some style aspects. However, these all appear to be original character designs and feature a fair amount of creativity. The line consists of six plushes (see gallery), all of whom wear the same "Zombie High" jacket but feature enough variation (including skin color, presumably because some are "fresher" than others) to make them distinct. While the characters having names, they're not listed in the pamphlet and I haven't been able to locate any promotional materials online. I recall seeing posters, though, which may have them listed. For those interested but either not lucky (or skilled?) enough to win them, weren't able to complete your collection, or just didn't have them in your area at all, National Entertainment Network has a Facebook store where the (presumably leftover or unwon) plushes will go on sale October 31. Currently their Facebook store features the Betty Boop World Traveler series. Given that the Betty Boops are being sold for US$12.99 each, I would expect the Zombie High plushes to go for the same. And, for those keeping track at home, currently I've only won the pictured plush so far and spent US$1.50 in the process (3 tries; 1st was a botch since I forgot the claw at that machine spins as it descends now while the second one moved it partway) and lost a few dollars trying to win the cheerleader at another machine. Anybody else won (or tried to win) one of these? Did you know? You can now get daily or weekly email notifications when humans reply to your comments.
