Hot on the heels of Yukata Rin's pre-order and the revealed Yukata Sakura prototype was the announcement that FREEing's next Yukata figure will be Saber Alter. Shown in Mikitan's Yukata Rin review, the concept art for Saber Alter depicts the character kneeling sullenly with a sparkler in hand.

Saber Alter, an alternate Saber appearing in the games, seems to have the most interesting design thus far... so I fully expect that the concept will be in some way changed when turned into a prototype, as with the case of Sakura (concept pictured, prototype seen here). Any such alteration is bound to be disappointing since Saber Alter's dour expression and the way she just listlessly holds that sparkler is positively endearing. While Saber Alter could potentially become the coolest figure in FREEing's Fate/Stay Night Yukata line, I imagine that she won't have the same impact when not posed next to her excited and happy companions (you know, provided you can overlook the quantum paradox of having two Sabers appearing in the same scene).

I'm sure everybody will be eagerly anticipating new developments. Until then, it's back to speculating who will next join the line. I still think it's Taiga, although, logically, FREEing will have to do a Shirou at some point.
