Yoko Asagiri steps up for round two of pre-orders

Yoko Asagiri steps up for round two of pre-orders photo

Despite the lackluster reception here when she arrived earlier this past Spring, Griffon's Yoko Asagiri apparently made enough waves to warrant a re-release in fairly short order. Personally despite the simplicity, I found myself rather drawn to the classic design, though it may be my unfamiliarity with the source material missing something, well, missing on Griffon's part.

I admit I am a bit surprised they decided to re-release her, though I suppose if you're looking for a figure with classic styling your options are pretty limited. I'll still say she's got her own sort of appeal, and I do like the sheen on her armor rather than having used a dull matte finish. It's hard to ignore that hair too, the sort of vibrant, unrealistic red that's a hallmark of the sort of colors seen so frequently in the past.

If you missed her the first time around, get ready to snap her up come March for about ¥7,600.

Megahobby Expo 2013 Spring: Shin Megami Tensei

Lots of new stuff on the Shin Megami Tensei front coming from Megahouse so let's not waste time and get right to it! There hasn't been a Devil Summoner game released since 2008, but Raidou Kuzunoha is certainly enjoying a ser...

[NSFW] Bite into a delicious Shirayukihime pre-order

I've said before that not all blatant fanservice figures are just trashy porn, and as usual, the masterful Tony Taka proves me right again. His earlier designs from Fault!! were absolutely gorgeous, and this original Snow Whi...

Go on a nice boat and pre-order Katsura Kotonoha

Griffon continues their hit or miss streak with this lovely lady from School Days, Katsura. This time I don't think the blame is all on them however, as the series' fairly big-eyed art style is a bit awkward when viewed in 3D...

Gear up to pre-order Muv-Luv's Meiya

Despite all the Muv-Luv attention out there, I can't recall seeing too much attention given to one Meiya Mitsurugi, at least compared to some others like, say, Inia. I'm definitely pleased to see Kotobukiya stepping up to fil...

Megahobby Expo Spring 2013: Kotobukiya
