Wonder Festival Summer 2010: BRS gets its own stop-motion animation from studio of Coraline, NBC photo

This now tops for me any figure news regarding Black Rock Shooter.

Announced at WonFes in a Good Smile panel, the retail release of the anime will be getting a very special bonus. Included on disc will be a new music video with a remix of the song being done by Linkin Park's Joseph Hahn. The best part of this announcement though is who is operating behind the scenes. The studio and crew who brought you The Nightmare Before Christmas and Coraline will be responsible for the manufacturing of the puppets and the video itself. I don't think there are any words I can put here that would adequately surmise how awesome that sounds.

Take a gander in the gallery below for some shots of the BRS puppet. For now, I'm really glad I decided not to pick up a Hobby Japan this month for the anime, the Blu-Ray is sounding really worth it right now.

What genre will it be? a horror, right? :)
REALLY? :D
Excited to see the stop motion~
All aboard the BRS bandwagon!

I remember the first time I listened to the BRS song. I loved the character design but never would have imagined it would be SO popular!
THAT'S AWESOOOOME

I knew they were doing a stop motion, but didn't put much trust in it, But now that I know who's involved... Oh man. Perhaps they can give back BRS the darkness that was missing from the anime!

All aboard the BRS bandwagon², chuuu chuuuuuu!
I suppose I'll be investing in the Blu-ray as well as the Hobby Japan DVD which I've already ordered.

The music video and song aren't all the dark to begin with....
The OVA did have it's dark moments but it was juxtaposed by the slice of life aspect.
Overall I really enjoyed the OVA and am really looking forward to the 30 second short the Studio behind NBC and Coraline!
