Wonder Festival 2017 (Winter): Kotobukiya Figures

The Big Leagues

Kotobukiya were the first company to have a proper focus on the western markets and took steps to license western titles for their figures and so they have an interesting mix of figures from anime and also western movies and shows.

On the Japanese side of things, we have pokémon figures as well as characters from anime which have yet to air, such as Ao Gennai from Frame Arms Girls (or just "the busou shinki reboot") and Ryuuzu from Clockwork Planet. Having read some of the light novel of Clockwork Planet, I have to say that I'm not a fan of this depiction of Ryuuzu. She's definitely lacking something with this design IMO.

On the Bishoujo side, it looks like we're getting another Chun Li, probably in her extra costume in Streetfighter V (or maybe her dress in SFIV) as well as the current Ms Marvel and Katana. But what interests me are the ArtFX figures of DC characters from the current DC TV series timeline. They did a good job with Melissa Benoist in her supergirl garbs but is that really meant to be Grant Gustin as the Flash??
