Wonder Festival 2013 Winter: Mecha Garage Kits

Feb 14 // Chris Seto    @GundamJehutyKai

*Cue MegasXLR theme!*

I'm pretty sure there's an unwritten rule which says that Mecha = cool! And this gallery would certainly not contest that rule!

First and foremost, we get a clear look at the Altines and Atlene busou shinki figures from Grizzry Panda. So far, we have only seen 3D mockups of Atlene but now you can see how she looks in her unpainted guise. Sadly, Grizzry Panda rarely shows off completed figures on his booth, with the exception of Miku Dayo so, until someone else paints their kits up, this is all we're getting. I still want them pretty both badly though!

Elsewhere, there's a real mix of mecha on display, from the Baronz from Brain Powerd to the Gekko from Eureka Seven! There's even a kot of the E.S. Ascher from Xenosaga! And if you like the look of that massive Scopedog, it can be yours for a mere ¥3,000. Why? Because it's made of paper!!

Gotta say though, aside from the Busou Shinki kits, the one which grabbed the attention of the Super Robot Wars fan in me was the half and half kit of the Astranagun and Dis-Astranagun. The mecha from Gunbuster were also kinda cool! Wouldn't you agree?
