Wonder Festival 2013 Winter: Alter

Hope you like Nanoha figures

I expected Alter to have a bigger presence at WonFes, but if you ask me they kind of phoned it in. Unless you're a Nanoha fan, there wasn't a ton of stuff to be excited about.

Let's get the Nanoha stuff out of the way first. You can see the upcoming swimsuit version of Nanoha Takamichi on display, which is just a big yawn for me. They also showed off an unpainted Einhart Stratos figure. There were some announcements too, as Alter will be making three more Nanoha figures based on the movie. One of these will be a 1/7-scale Signum, and the other two are 1/7-scale Hayate Yagami figures (one in a swimsuit because everything ever needs a swimsuit version).

Their other offerings weren't terribly exciting to me outside of the already-revealed Kazuno (still unpainted) and Melty from Shining Hearts. You can see Type-Moon's 10th anniversary Saber, which isn't much more appealing in color than she was unpainted. Since one Saber is never enough, Alter also had a Saber Alter swimsuit figure in the mix.

The rest:

  • 1/8-scale Eru Chitanda from Hyouka
  • Estellise Sidos Heurassein from Tales of Vesperia
  • Kanna Tanigawa from Ano Natsu de Matteru
  • A plush Milla Maxwell from Tales of Xillia
  • An announcement for a 1/8-scale Suguha from Sword Art Online

In my opinion, this was an underwhelming outing for Alter. It was so underwhelming I could hardly be said to have been whelmed at all.
