Gainax, Vocaloid, and some Pixar too

Sega always has a diverse assortment of prize figures to peddle. Their booth at WonFes reached all the way across the ocean for some Pixar and Disney figures to go alongside the licensed Japanese ones.

Toy Story, Monsters University, and The Nightmare Before Christmas all got love with standard size prize figures. Many Disney characters also got miniatures: Buzz Lightyear, Wall-E, Nemo, and others.

Anime fans need not fret; there was plenty for you from Sega. Fist of the North Star got some burly man-figures. Shingeki no Kyojin busts were on display. Evangelion 3.0 figures made an appearance, as well as the female pilots in race queen outfits. I'm starting to think prize figures are the only way to get Evangelion 3.0 merchandise these days without breaking the bank...

Sega also tapped into disparate licenses going from their own Vocaloids to Nadesico, Gunbuster, OreImo, Railgun/Index, Upotte, Nyaruko-san, and Nisemonogatari. There really was something for everyone!

Is suspicious of kittens and robots. Vehemently dislikes angle quotes. Will never forgive the Cylons. Was the real-life inspiration for the movie . more   |   staff directory
