Wonder Festival 2012 Winter: Monster Hunter Revoltechs

Monster Hunter fans are about to be a lot gladder with the unveiling of new hunter and Rathalos Revoltechs at this winter's Wonder Festival 2012. For those greenhorn hunters, the Rathalos is the red one with claws and wings. The hunter figures are both male (where are the women hunters, huh?) with different but similar-looking armor. I am ashamed that I cannot identify the armor without the color. In my defense, it's been a while since I've done some monster hunting. 

I dare say the Rathalos is the most impressive of the group. Check out the gallery for front and back shots of the beast. The detail is superb and the joints are pretty well hidden. The sculpting is nice on the hunters, too, but the Rathalos is just so ... intimidating. It is as if it roars, "Buy me or I rip your limbs off!" 

We'll have to wait to see until these Revoltechs are painted to figure what the hunters' armors are. Do you want to start placing bets?
