Taking a look the day after, you get past the hype and initial reactions. Last night sa the debut of Kotobukiya's newest figure line, Co-poche. The line serves as a direct challenge to Good Smile Company's Nendoroid line and joins a field eager to take their share of the adorably deformed figures.

The key selling point for these figures is their articulation. The tenets of a traditional action figure are brought to the chibi-styled form. With joints in all the right places, you'll be able to get poses you haven't with past figure types. The advantage this has is that you won't have to be swapping out arms and legs every time you want to change the pose. That's not to say that swapping isn't eliminated as the line makes a point to include interchangeable faces, something that is very much popular with Nendos. As to whether we'll see the figures being able to swap with each other, that's yet to be seen.

From the initial lineup, they picked a great slate of characters to go with. Saber, Kirino, Idolm@ster's Hoshii Miki, and Madoka will bring out their fanbases that have to collect them all. I'm really anxious to see how these will turn out, but so far, I see great things on the way. You can see for yourself in the detailed gallery below.
