Up until now, we've only seen the upcoming (read: 20 days) Master Grade Duel Gundam Assault Shroud in lineart and sculpted prototype form. With just a month until its release, it's probably time that they got around to showing us exactly what is coming. I think they have done their damn best to get me to part with my money.
Given that the plans are laid out to make all the remaining GAT-X prototypes Gundams, Duel is a nice way to start it off. I'm surprised at how good the original Duel looks, but I'm really liking how the Assault Shroud armor is done even more. It makes me a lot more confident at what they'll do with the Buster, Blitz and Aegis. Back to the Duel though, he comes packed with two beam sabers, a beam rifle and bazooka.
I do have one hesitation on this kit though and that's with the armor. The last time that a MG had an optional armor, as found on the Full Armor Gundam, it was terribly done as it was held in place by adhesive pieces. I don't think that will be the case this time, but it sticks out in the back of my mind. Even with all that though, I may just shell out the 4,410 yen when it's released on February 18th.
