Bluefin Distribution will be providing a Western release for the Tamashii web-exclusive S.H. Figuarts "TOP MAG" version of Wild Tiger. Occasionally referred to as the "Crapsuit", this outfit was Wild Tiger's first and, might I add, cooler costume despite being significantly less useful than its more-used successor (as humorously demonstrated in an early episode).

Emblazoned with his only sponsor's name across his chest, Wild Tiger's older costume had a distinctly heroic look (and a cape!) and the color choices made it visually striking. This figure captures those design aspects fairly well yet I can't help but feel that the sculpt is just a little too slender. The torso joint also strikes me as looking a little awkward somehow. My other major concern is that it looks like a glossier paint was used for the facial tones which I sincerely is just the photo's image quality rather than an accurate representation.

While I may have some gripes with the figure, it seems like an adequate rendition of the costume and I'm sure fans will be overjoyed for the opportunity to own one. "TOP MAG" Wild Tiger will have a US$57.99 MSRP when pre-orders open and is slated for a January/February 2013 release. This will supposedly be a smaller run so you may need to scramble when pre-orders open.
