The releases of any given week usually dictate the kind of photos I find for What Toys Are Up, because naturally, toy photographers like to take their new goodies out to play. I expected to find plenty of Black Rock Shooter Figma and Nendoroid shots on hand this week, and I was not disappointed. People really went above and beyond when it came to their shoots involving these figures, as you can see in the gallery. And what else? Well, plenty of Figma and Nendo head/body swaps, some gorgeous lighting tricks, a few custom kits, and maybe the most hilarious photo I've seen involving the Alien Revoltech so far. It was a good week for photos, and I can't believe I managed to go this far without one pic of the notorious Woody Revoltech. I'm sure he'll be back though. Which are your favorites from the gallery? E3 is going on right now (as this goes live, Sony's press conference is one hour away), so it's only fitting that Custom Made Monday dives into some video game customs this week! Well, we did last week, too, also using E3 as ... It's hard to believe, but Cavey is already three years old and to celebrate the occasion creator Holly Stanway (aka A Little Stranger) held a party to celebrate. More than just a chance to eat, drink and be merry though, this was also a chance to see the 41 custom Vinyl Caveys produced specifically for the event.
