Wave's Macross Beach Queens Lynn Minmay and Mylene Jenius available for pre-order

Macross 7 is my first Macross series to ever watch. It may not be the greatest but I became a sucker for Fire Bomber. Well, when Basara wasn't yelling at me to listen to his song. Which was pretty much every episode. Of course I would also become a sucker for the pink haired bassist, Mylene Jenius, daughter Maximilian Jenius and Milia Fallyne Jenius from SDF Macross.

One thing that I have always been asking for is a Mylene figure created from today's sculptors and modern machinery. Unfortunately, the closest I'll get is Wave Corporation's Beach Queens series which we saw at the 49th All Japan Plamodel Hobby Show about a month ago. Mylene will be joined by the face of Macross, Lynn Minmay, for some summer fun. Minmay is looking very modest in her swimsuit. I never realized she had so much talent. Mylene is just... I hate that swimsuit. When I originally saw it in the show well over 10 years ago I was asking "WTF". Who let's a 14 year old wear that? Ugh. So horrendous.

Well, if you're interested in pre-ordering either of these two, the usual sources have them retailing at 3,800 yen. Minmay [Hobby Search, AmiAmi] will be available in March, 2010 with Mylene [Hobby Search, AmiAmi] following in April. Now I'm going to go back to dreaming of a real Mylene PVC figure.
