Technology is amazing. In nine years we've gone from the squat, blocky ASIMO, to the much more realistic and 'talented' HRP-4C Mimu. Mimu seems to be the closest we've come to a truly humanoid robot. Sure, when she's 'naked' she has an odd silver body, but she can do a lot of the same things that we humans can do. She can dance, sing (using Vocaloid software), and even cosplay! ASIMO has seen some figures over the years and now it's Mimu's turn!

Wave's new HRP-4C Mimu (said to mean 'future dream') figure may be a model kit, but don't let that stop you. The parts don't require glue to build so assembly is relatively easy. Parts are also molded in color and some parts are even pre-painted so it'll look good even out of the box. She features three faces that also have all of their details pre-painted as well so no worries there! Even though the real Mimu is a little on the stiff side, model Mimu has a ton of articulation and can seem to do some poses that other figures would struggle at. Only real downside is she only seems to come with one pair of open hands and nothing else so don't plan on equipping her with a bunch of accessories.

So, are you ready to own your own realistic robot girl? If so head over to your favorite online shop as pre-orders are up and ready to go now! She's ¥2,800 and will be out in February 2013. Now let's see if they follow this up with a Miku Hatsune cosplay version.
