Wave is having Evangelion's Asuka test out their PVC version of the plug suit photo

Test Plug Suit, huh? Is that what the staff behind the Evangelion units are calling it? And how does one agree to put on something so revealing at such a young age? Oddly enough, I'm not seeing that with Wave's 1/10 scale Shikinami Asuka Langley Test Plug Suit version.

I know the outfit is suppose to look transparent but with the color job done on this figure, it just looks like tacky color choices to me. Wave did do an excellent job with the pleather look of the plug suit and Asuka's face is looking good so I will give them that. And as I study the figure, I can't help but notice that Asuka has absolutely no figure and is very petite. Then again, she is only 14. 14 years old and wearing something like this. Yikes!

I'm sure this will be met with mixed reviews but I'm definitely not that impressed. If she's to your liking, she is available for pre-order at AmiAmi and Hobby Search, retailing for 4500 yen. Release date is slated for May, 2010.

Too shiny, the switch in colours is so jarring. I don't like this, partially for the design, partially for the actual figure.

Give me the plug-suit 1/10 WAVE Rei everyday of the week.
I disagree, I like the new Asuka. I think the design is solid though the transparency is a bit questionable. Other than that, I like the addition of the second color which off sets the red and the addition of the screw designs is a nice compliment the suit.

I think her (overly)petite figure is accurate, and I don't mind it; the "transparency" does bug me, though.
You're right in that it looks like an abrupt shift in color, more than anything else. Meh.
Hm, I thought she had a much more filled out figure in the movie while in this test suit. It's also distracting because it seems more shiny than it should be.
@Borrie

I concur.
screw you guys, i like it, ordering now lol
