Wave introduces two new bikini-clad K-On! figures photo

Wave has impressed with quite a bit with their offerings lately as far as quality and sculpt, and I know they're the bikini company and all, but man ... these new K-On! figures are just not that good. They're not terrible, persay, but ... well, I expect better from Wave, is all. On the other hand, they're cheap too, so maybe I'm expecting too much for the price point.

Both girls are open for preorder at Hobby Search now, slated for release in late December. At 1/10 scale, they're a little on the small side as well. Mio sells for 3,610 yen ($39) and Yui goes for the same. Like I said before, they aren't bad, but you could spend roughly the same amount on the K-On! Nendos, and they look a lot better made than these two here.

Yui is mostly the problem. Her bikini is too plain, and seems like an afterthough. My guess is that the 'skirt' portion is removeable, and it looks like they put all their resources there.

Something also seems just a little teeny bit 'off' on the faces. Again, not bad, just not exactly right.

Mio is actually fine by me. Same applies whereas it seems at first glance that the bikini is too plain. And I understand why lots would think that. For me personally, I'm a sucker for that color, a sucker for that color on any kind of swimsuit, and a sucker for Mio. So I just might get this one.
Oh man, so I just went ahead and preordered Mio along with the two Alter figures of Mio and Yui rockin' out.

Along with 'princess' Taiga, it's going to be a rough December for me. I havent ordered any PVCs in ages.
I have already pre ordered both the Alter Yui and Mio figures and for whatever reason I tend to shy away from swim suit figures. Most of the time I just don't like the suits however even when I do find myself liking one I never seem to pic it up. I think it's because there are so many other great figures out there and swim suit figures seem like to much of a cash in if you ask me.
@Reibooi - I'm with you on that. Unless I'm madly in love with a figure I don't care if I have it in a swimsuit. (Except Sebastian Michaelis, that is)
