Volks jumps on the train towards Horizon!

It would seem that the figure companies are expecting quite a lot from the show kyokai Senjo no Horizon. Afterall, how often is it you see figures from a series announced before the anime has started airing? Now Volks have decided to join the party with their own version of P-01s/Horizon Ariadust.

The figure is part of the Moekore plus lineup so she will be a PVC figure. The main Volks site shows off the unpainted prototype but Moeyo has a fair few images of the figure in colour and she looks rather impressive. Of course, this being Volks, it's best take things with a pinch of salt. Their PVC figures have improved considerably with recent releases but they still fall behind the larger companies such as Good Smile Company, Megahouse and Alter so I expect this release of P-01s/Horizon to do the same. The devil is in the details and that is where Volks PVC figures often fall short.

The figure is currently scheduled for a 2012 release with price pending. Volks also don't usually ship internationally so you'll have to make your own arrangements if you want to pick her up when she becomes available. Based on the colour images, I'm quite tempted but I've learned not to jump in too quickly in these instances.
