When it comes to Vinylmation releases lately, I've been trying to post about the figures just a few days before release. They get announced far in advance, and designs are released slowly over time, but then I forget by the time it's release day and miss out. This time around, it's just a simple set of two limited release figures, and they look good enough that I wanted to bring them up in advance.

We've got a FrankenMickey (or Mickeystein) and Wife of Mickeystein in this set, which will be released to Disney Stores (your local stores) on August 22 (a Monday, for a change). They'll run you US$26.95 for the box. Note it says "limited release;" it's not that there's a limit to the production run, but that they'll only be in stores for a specific period of time.

Now, these two look great, but I can only hope that the next set will feature a Mummy Donald and Spooky Goofy! A set like that would likely be much funnier, and who knows, maybe a Stitchula (Dracula Stitch) is also somewhere in our future. Check out the gallery for the box and artwork for upcoming Mickey and Minnie Spooks!

You could just do multiple postings like people do for other series, though.

These 2packs aren't as exciting as like whole sets, especially since I like these homages to classic monsters and would have loved to have seen a ton of designs for them at once.
I've done big posts before with multiple announcements in there, but it's just so much that comes up that I can't even keep up with it all without over-saturating the front page with Vinylmation stuff.

I agree that the two-packs aren't as exciting. The Disney Afternoon two-packs have been selling out on release day, which is why I haven't really been posting about them. Doug just came out and he went just as quickly. These shouldn't sell out, and like I said, it just excites me more about future designs. ^^ I'll keep an eye out for more, but for now this is what's been released.

>_>

In those cases it would definitely be cool to post a little before the release about them then =p

Just googled the Doug, that's a pretty weird-looking design
