Mikatan just previewed GSC's latest Nendoroid of Sheryl Nome from Macross Frontier. I don't know about you all, but Macross Frontier is still an enchanting show to me despite its age. I think it will go down as one of the most enduring anime of all time. If you have not seen it yet then do check it out. If nothing else head out to YouTube and listen to some of the excellent songs, sung by their voice actresses.

Getting back to the Nendoroids a little bit, I saw a color picture of her pop up here and there, but this is the first time I've gotten a good look at her painted prototype. I'm pleased that GSC has used my favorite Sheryl outfit for her prototype. It's obvious that a lot of work was put into this Nendoroid, if for no other reason than the fact that Sheryl is a mature woman. If she were moefied too much then she would no longer be Sheryl, so GSC had a tricky balance to maintain with her.

GSC did not skimp on the extras for Sheryl either. The most interesting of which is special stage part that is meant to look like the deck from the "battle frontier" warship in the series. She also comes with a microphone and three faces, as well as extra arms and hands for more poses. I like how her earrings, hair accessories, and mic are all painted with a metallic paint.

It's great to see that Sheryl is coming along so well, but what is also exciting is that it won't stop with just her. We can only see the backside of her unpainted prototype however our favorite green haired Cinderella girl Ranka Lee will also be returning to the spotlight for her upcoming Nendoroid as well. These are exciting figurines to me. I'm hoping to see more Macross goodies in the future from GSC.

Nendoroid Sheryl nome comes at a suggested price of  ¥3333 yen and is expected to ship out in September of this year.

Hi Tomopeeps! I've been collecting figurines for about three years now! I would not have begun collecting if I had not stumbled upon Tomopop a few years back. An editor had reviewed a figurine ... more + disclosures
