Under the Radar: Touhou Project's Konpaku Youmu by Griffon Enterprises

I just watched my first Touhou Project gameplay video on YouTube the other day and I can see why this is such a popular series. I'll never play it myself for the insane amount of bullet-hell so I'll just show my support for the series by purchasing the lovely figures. And leave it to Griffon Enterprises to keep the ball rolling on Touhou Project releases.

Released in November of this year was the half-human, half-ghost, blade wielding Konpaku Youmu. This, by far, has to be the most gorgeous Touhou Project figure ever released by Griffon Enterprises, yet. It's hard to not notice the floating spirit around Youmu. Sculptor  i-con did an amazing job in designing that into the mold.

As with most of the other Touhou Project releases from Griffon Enterprises, I love the motion in her dress and the button up vest is looking cute on Youmu. Her pose is astounding as she holds a katana in one hand and draws another blade from behind. The detail and shine on the blades are a nice touch and I love the layout of the scabbards on her back.

Unfortunately Youmu sold like hot cakes and she is close to impossible to find. I'm very disappointed as I am seriously considering the purchase of this one. Hopefully Griffon Enterprises will do a second run. They can't ignore that kind of instant cash flow, can they?
