Under the Radar: The Wolf Children Ame and Yuki statue
It has recently been brought to my attention that Mamoru Hosoda (The Girl Who Leapt Through Time) is back with another beautiful film titled The Wolf Children Ame and Yuki. After seeing Elliot's review on sister site Japanator, the header image reminded me of something I saw during the barrage of Wonder Festival reveals, but I don't think we ever covered it. It was this beautiful statue of Hana, the main character carrying her two children Ame and Yuki as sculpted by PROGRESS and produced by Medicos Entertainment. And I really mean, this statue is absolutely beautiful. It reminds me of that great teacher Yomako statue with Nakim and Maosha that Colette reviewed a while back. It hits all the right notes for me. Of course, the next step from here is to actually watch the movie so that I can fall even more in love with this. What do you think, Tomofolk?
