Under the Radar: Replica pulse rifle from James Cameron's greatest film, Aliens photo

Eff you, rich people. I hate that people make amazing things that only you can afford. I feel so disenfranchised from the majority of the awesome system by things like this. What you're seeing here, ladies and gentlemen, is a replica of the standard armament carried by the Colonial Marine Corps. The M41A 10mm pulse-action air-cooled automatic assault rifle was often the only only thing standing between you and death on planets like LV-426 (if you don't count power loaders, drop ships, or turret guns [if you're watching the director's cut]). That kind of protection doesn't come cheap.

Alter Ego Comics has this amazing firearm available to preorder for the low, low price of $900! Isn't that a small price to pay for such an intricately crafted replica of this caliber? The shoulder stock is actually retractable. The clip is removable and when you slap it in, the LED readout registers a full clip count of 95! The pump handle for the 30mm grenade launcher actually works. Squee! Now, if you'll excuse me, I'm going to go cry on Jim Sterling's shoulder over my complete inability to afford this sucker.

For the same price as this $900 one you can actually get a working airsoft version that shoots plastic BBs. It's based off the tokyo marui thompson then stripped down and placed inside of a pulse rifle model kit.

You know I don't think it looks that good.

I have seen Aliens to many times to count so I remember it well. I think the main problem with this one is that it looks to much like plastic. I think that's due to the paint job or what have you. It needs to look like it's been used and beat up abit to add that last little bit of realism.

As it stand now I don't think it's worth that price. Even if it did look better I'm not sure it would be worth that price but that would be up to the fans and collectors who would be buying it.
This has been done before and for less but this is still really nice.
Honestly if i was gonna spend the money i would do like Beerninja's
youtube link and go the fully working real deal route.
Seriously considering it.

Stupid house repairs may ruin everything. :(
BE ADVICED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Said company "maybe" the same company that keeps refilling bankruptcy for the last 10 yrs, under the previous name "Icons Replicas" after original movie maker filed copyrights infringement violations.

They sell two versions: Hero versions comes with LED lights; Stunt version has no LED lights for half the price.
They lure you in for the Hero ver, have you prepay, then file a bankruptcy, and sends you Stunt ver,.... if they even send you one.

YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!!!!
@Raygan these are not the guys the worked at Icons.

If anyone is actually worried just pre-order from a retailer and not direct.
Man this is friggin' awesome, but I have a hard time validating the cost. Especially since there's papercraft blueprints for a 1 to 1 replica of the thing online. Granted, you'd have to be pretty damn skilled to get the the thing to look perfect, but you'd be spending a lot less (money wise) than this thing... which is still awesome as sin ^__^
