I'm going to be honest. I don't know much about Italy at all. I guess, technically, my favorite movie, The Good, the Bad and the Ugly, is Italian. But that has as much to do with Italy as, well something that's not really Italian. The lesson there, though, is that the people of Italy are capable of creating some amazing works of art. They can top us at our own game when given the chance.
The point I'm trying to awkwardly make is that this figure is so cool looking and I want one. This is Mr. Death. Well, Mr. Death in a super-deformed vinyl version. Mr. Death is a reoccurring character in the Italian web-comic Storie Di Vita Vissuta (Real Life Stories). Roberto"RX" Gionta created this based on his comic. Since I'm not fluent in Italian, I don't have much to add except the strips I google-translated showed a guy getting plastered at a bar with Mr. Death after getting dumped and begging to be killed. My kind of stuff.
The figure is great on its own merits, even not being familiar with it's source material. I love the paint job on the cloak and the Charles Schultz-esque line work. If you'd like to make him your own, he runs $25 Euros (roughly 34 bucks) and can be found at the Storie Di Vita Vissuta web-store. Order me one, too. We'll split the shipping costs.
