Get ready to celebrate, One Piece fans. After months of teasing, MegaHouse has finally opened pre-orders for the final member of the Mugiwara no Ichimi (Straw Hat Pirates), Franky. As a huge fan of the Portrait of Pirates series, I have been eagerly waiting the shipwright's release.
Living up to his "SA-Maximum" classification, Armored Franky is truly impressive. The 1/8 sculpt by ATTM is not only impeccably crafted, but incredibly detailed, as well. Everything from the stitch-mark scars on his upper body to the metal plates on his legs is extraordinary. I am particularly blown away by his giant robotic arms, and the red spheres with the "BF-37" logo. Amazing details aside, Franky comes with an assortment of accessories, which includes two extra hair-styled heads (buzz cut and stag beetle), sunglasses, goggles, head phones, a tool set, canons, a set of missiles, and an extra pair of hands capable of popping out his secondary robotic hands. The coolest feature, however, is the ability to perform Franky's "Strong Right" move by launching his fist. It even has the retractable chain. Su~per!
Franky is currently available at MEGATREA SHOP, which means you will have to contact your favorite proxy to pre-order. The burly cyborg will sail your way this July for ¥15,750. What do you think, Tomocchi's?
[As Orannis has pointed out, you could sometimes find limited releases like this at some stores, like Big in Japan or ToysLogic]
