Transformers' Starscream demands you bow down and submit to his latest Masterpiece

You think TakaraTomy is done using that Masterpiece Starscream mold? Think again! He's returned to back stab all those who have bought his previous Masterpiece releases. Unlike the recent Optimus Prime Masterpiece, Starscream won't be receiving a new mold but will at least be receiving an update.

The most noticeable of changes for Starscream is that he will now come with his coronation set that he wore in the 1986 animated film The Transformers: The Movie. His mold has also been slightly tweaked with the wings looking more like his Generation 1 toy counterpart. And one complaint has finally been addressed. The tail fins no longer hang from his hips and now are split into 2 pieces. Speaking of G1, MP-11 continues to follow that G1 look by taking its colors from the cartoon with brighter blues and reds and light gray body.

I'm not very found of the coronation set since owning the third party version by TFC Toys. It's the cape that bothers me most since it's just a huge chunk of plastic with joints. I feel this can really limit the posing of the figure. Besides that, I'm very tempted because of the minor mold changes and the brighter colors.

MP-11 Masterpiece Starscream is retailing for ¥13,000 and is slated for a mid-March release. Anyone looking to replace a certain seeker in their collection or just add to it? With them having this modified mold, will we also finally see the coneheads to compete with a certain third-party copy-cat maker?

Although the jet mode is nicer, I think I prefer my originally $8 at retail but cost me around $40 Universe Starscream for the general design. The coronation gear looks really awesome, though.
Starscream, my favorite Transformer. I always rooted for him :)
That price @_@
This looks really good. I never bought a Masterpiece until Grimlock came to the U.S. so I'm excited about all the new releases. I do think that the price is a bit much, though. I can see the Convoy's being expensive because of their trailers, but I would have thought that Starscream would have been much cheaper. Still, I'd like to get him if I can.
That price @_@

Yeah, at that price I also figure it'd be impossible for me to own this and actually be happy with it.
Starscream, he was always my favourite little sniveling weasel. :D
Pretty cool..I use to own the U.S version of the older Masterpiece. This doesn't have all that waste kibble, and his wings look smaller on this one. Might pick it up.
Plastic cape :)
