Transformers Collectors' Club latest magazine reveals War for Cybertron Bumblebee photo

Now that the Transformers Collectors' Club has revealed this announcement on their homepage, we can start posting images ourselves. Hitting mailboxes this week was the latest issue of the official magazine for the club which I just received. On the cover people were able to see the toy design for long time cast member Bumblebee as he'll appear in the upcoming game Transformers: War for Cybertron and in the typical over-saturation of how the colors will really look.

I have mixed feelings about the designs for this upcoming game. The characters feel like a weird mix of traditional Transformers and the ones that were featured in Michael Bay's movies. Bumblebee still gives me those mixed feelings. Usually I think of Bumblebee as a young kid so I'm not seeing that in this face mold. The glowing eyes may be blinding my judgment, though. I like everything about him that's above the waist. However, the bulky top does not compliment the weak legs and makes the entire figure look awkward.

The figures will be a limited release to coincide with the game. Both are due for release later this year.

MOAR Transformers:

Legacy Comments

I might be the only person to ever be annoyed by the lack of a proper grip on the Transformers' guns. At least the articulation is definitely better than it was on the G1 originals.

The tiny Bumblebee legs *are* kind of offputting, compared to the last Classic Bumblebee released.
