Toy Fair 2012: Transformers GenerationsHasbro has great news for fans fearful that the company was going to let Generations fall to the wayside in favor of Transformers Prime. At Toy Fair, it was announced they had big, some might say brutal, plans for the line. Come fall, fans can expect some War for Cybertron-inspired version of Shockwave, Jazz, Optimus Prime, and super big monstrosity Bruticus. Since this line takes place before the characters have arrived on Earth these figures will transform into imaginative, sci-fi inspired vehicles. My favorite among these is Shockwave, which turns into a spaceship that greatly resembles the character's Generation One laser gun mode. Of course, the real stand out is the massive combiner, Bruticus. This figure is made up of five unique, fully transformable figures, making this the first such combiner to come along in some time. As if this news wasn't exciting enough, Hasbro went on to say that fan can expect more figures to be released from the fall up to spring 2013, with over 40 different Transformers being released during that period.
