Toy Fair 2011: Pokemon Booth Overview photo

Pokemon was my gateway drug to nerdom. It got me into gaming, collecting toys, forums, and introduced me to a whole community of fellow nerds. So when we walked by the Pokemon booth at Toy Fair, I practically squealed with joy. I mean, my love of Pokemon extends so far that I bought White in Japanese just so I could play it a few months early!

Thankfully they had quite a few awesome toys on display, including some painfully adorable new plushes, model kits, ABS figures, cards, backpacks, and DS cases. Everything a Pokenerd needs! Many of them featured the new batch of Pokemon, which seem to be getting some mixed views in the community. I think they are pretty darn cute, and the new legendaries fit in well with the rest of them. But what about you, Tomopeeps? Would you like to own any of this Pokemerch?

MOAR Toy Fair:

Legacy Comments

i can't wait for B and W!
AAAH I'm so excited!! X3
That fire-pig plush looks awesome. Might actually use him as my starter instead of the water one, assuming I buy this version. Other than that, looks like the usual kind of bland collectibles. I even recognize that one Pikachu plush from when they first released it... in like 1998 >_>
I want the Smugleaf (Snivy) and Wotter (Oshawott) plushies!
I've never wanted any more pokemon plushies since I was 8 and had my very own Squirtle!
So going to try and get my hands on at least one of the two I've mentioned.
All my geeky friends are going apeshit for the English release next month, we even told each other what version we'd get to prevent getting too many of the same and so we could exchange pokemon.

Nerdy pokemon and proud of it :D
None of the merchandise interests me too much, though I'll probably pick up a strategy guide and/or updated Pokedex when I get Pokemon Black.
