If you've been reading Tomopop for any amount of time, you've probably seen my massive obsession with all things Disney. This of course extends over to Pixar as well, and I'm very excited to share with you the newest of Formation Arts sets from Square Enix, the Disney Pixar Formation Arts Chapters 13, 14 and 15. This set includes Ratatouille, WALL-E and Up, and was very well done.
It's been a while since I last checked out a set of Formation Arts figures, but I'm glad I was able to. I had a lot of fun outdoors once again while taking photos of these fantastic figures, so if you'd like to see more, please hit the jump and see just why I was so happy when I received them.

Welcome, again, to the world of Square Enix and their fabulous window boxes! It's a relatively plain box this go around, but it gets the job done. It's a nice light blue box that features an image of each of the new figures on the back.

After the paint flaws that occurred on the Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood Trading Arts figures, I was a bit leery with the plastic packaging. Luckily, I had nothing to fear, as all three of the figures arrived without a single scratch. They looked fantastic from their package, and I couldn't wait to get them out and about so we could get some pictures taken.

As you can see, from left to right, we have Ratatouille, Up and Wall-E. All of them do a fabulous job of illustrating their respective movies, and I love all the small details they included to add that much more to the figures. They also range in height from left to right, with Ratatouille measuring about 6 inches tall, Up measures about 5 inches tall, and WALL-E is the smallest at 4 inches tall.

I just absolutely adore the Ratatouille figure, and it's by far my favorite. It does a great job of showing Remy controlling Linguini by pulling on the tufts of his hair as he cooks. I can't stress how much I love the look of the figure, and how it almost looks animated — like as if you paused the movie and BAM! here's your figure.

The small details in the figures really make them come together. There are small objects, especially in this figure, that show pieces of the surroundings in it. There are small items that were found around the kitchen in the movie that find themselves in the figure, and it's attention to detail like that that makes me crave for more and more of these figures.

The only issue I have with these is the lack of a back to the figures. They look so fantastic on the front, but then you turn them around and there's nothing to see. Granted, that's not awful, but I watch too many cake competitions that show you your show piece should have things to look at from all 360 degrees. Sadly, I feel that way about figures and it knocks be down a little when things look great from really only one angle.

As you can see, Ratatouille isn't the only movie to have received an amazingly detailed piece, as next we have Up. Carl, Russell and Dug are all in attendance as well as the ever-so flashy Kevin. The only issue I have with this figure is the balloons. It's not a major one by any means, but I wish the paint job had been a teeny bit better, or more detailed on the balloons. Other than that, this figure is golden!

Even if you can't see it from a normal front-on view, I'm so glad to see that they carried out the details on Carl's face. It makes me happy when things aren't done halfway with details, and his eyes look fantastic behind the glasses. The top of the book also looks fantastic with how they sculpted the pages of the book, and I think any fan of the movie would be thrilled with all the little details.

Last, but certainly not least, in this set is WALL-E and boy is it cute! WALL-E's got himself turned upside down with his mishap with the fire extinguisher and EVE isn't far behind. The looks on both WALL-E and EVE's faces are just adorable, and I love the glittery bit that they're based on, which makes it look more like outer space.

The fire extinguisher was letting out a huge cloud, and I just adore the way it's sculpted and painted in this piece. Everything is nice and proportionate and fits together so well, there's no other words I can come up with than CUTE! The paint job is absolutely fabulous, and I'd suggest you definitely get your hands on this if you're a fan of the film.

I'll be honest: in previous Formation Arts sets I wasn't nearly as impressed, but with this Pixar set they've absolutely knocked them out of the park and got all the kinks out. If you're a fan of any of these three movies, or just love well done figures that are small enough to fit in any collection, I would suggest these without fail.
You can go ahead and order a set for yourself through Square Enix's online store for US$29.99, which I would definitely point you in the direction of doing. I'm not sure what it is about their figures, but once again I feel the need to go have a marathon and watch all three of these movies back to back! Actually, please excuse me — I think I'll do just that!
