Tomopop Review: Blizzard's World of Warcraft Plush Pets photo

For several years I've been an avid player of World of Warcraft and I've spent a lot of time with the game, even owning some of the previous figures that had been released, but now my favorite thing of all time relating to the game is coming. I didn't even know I would want a plush version of anything WoW related until I saw these little cuties and then my heart went a-flutter.

These plushies are releasing on Monday, so hit the jump to check them out in action to see what you'll be in the market for!

WoW Plush

First off these plushies come in pretty nice drawstring bags with either the Horde or Alliance symbols depending on which one you buy. The Gryphon Hatchling is the offspring of the Alliance transport, while the Wind Rider Cub is the offspring of the Horde transport.

WoW Plush

The back of the bags are emblazoned with the World of Warcraft and Blizzard logos, as well as the name of each of the plushies.

As you can see they are just adorable as can be, and are actually relatively large. They measure in around 9 inches tall and are extremely soft. Honestly there is nothing better than having a soft and cute plush to hug when you're having a bad day, so these have been an awesome boost of happiness besides just being a cute addition to the collection.

WoW Plush

Besides the paws that are just too cute, I also love the eyes on both plushies. They make them look extra cute and have such a burst of personality. I also get a kick out of the tufts of hair on the ears for added Wind Rider detail.

WoW Plush

Both of the plush pets have their own embroidered shield that holds either the Alliance or Horde logo on it. I love the shape on them since the pets are somewhat babies it almost looks like a bib, which is just too cute for words. (Yes, if you haven't noticed 'cute' and 'adorable' are words you're going to see frequently in this post.)

WoW Plush

Since these guys are so well known for flying, we took the time to do just that in the yard. Both Windy and Gryphy did just that and had one heck of time with their loop-the-loops and barrel rolls!

WoW Plush

Speaking of flying, did I mention that the in-game pet you'll also receive is the first vanity pet that will actually fly along with you? Oh I didn't, well guess what they do! No longer will you be all alone on those long flights across Azeroth, as these little guys will fly right by your side with a smile.

WoW Plush Cards

With your order you'll receive one of these cards, which is attached to the plush, and it will contain your code for receiving your in-game pet. All you have to do is scratch off the silver bit carefully and your code will be ready for redeeming.

WoW Plush

When they got done with their flight they came inside to a bit of an ambush. Gryphy immediately got stopped by some members of the Horde and they were bound to pick a fight.

WoW Plush

Windy had a bit of an easier time because only one lone Dwarf came to stop him, and he was easily scared off.

WoW Plush

The Horde and Alliance forces quickly rethought their issues with the plush cubs once Illidan appeared. The plushies took the lead and weren't afraid of the purple demon/night elf hybrid that stood before them.

WoW Plush

The plushies took down Illidan with ease, and all of the toys rejoiced! Everyone became friends and it was a good day!

WoW Plush

As you can see I've had a lot of fun with these little guys, and they are the best for hugging on a day you need a friend, so I would definitely suggest picking them up on Monday when they hit the Blizzard Store. They'll cost you $24.99 each, and of course you'll get your in-game pet with them as well. No matter if you play the game or not, these plushies are an adorable and well made addition to any plush collection, so keep your eye out before they fly away!

Legacy Comments

I was going to get both because I like having complete sets but I don't think i can afford that for this month :X argh its killing me >
I would have bought it for the bag alone!
I'd probably get the Wind Rider..OOo..
Completelly awesome and cute!! I loved the card you get with the code, Binds when picked up hahah. If you're giving one of these as a gift, be sure not to pick up the card! XD
Their prices is just what I thought it would be, so no bad surprises. I really want the WInd Rider Cub, but I'll wait a bit before getting it. ^^'

Ah, and just a correction: They're not the first pet that are able to fly. Draenei's Moths and BE's Dragonhawk are able to fly - not sure about any other pets, but WotLK pets probably fly too =3
This is a nice site. Good fresh UI and nice informative articles. I used mvc2.Also included Return Json(jsonData, JsonRequest Behavior.Allow-get) in my code.It works fine when i published in a local machine or another server.I will be coming back soon, thanks for the great article.
