Tomopop Preview: Kotobukiya's Dark Magician GirlThere are some figures that everyone just seems to go gaga over. Dark Magician Girl is definitely one of these figures, and I know quite a few people who have been waiting with bated breath for her release in late March. As luck would have it, Kotobukiya was generous enough to provide us with an early sample of this gorgeous figure so you could all get a closer look at her before release! The photos are, as always, by the wonderful Stephen Donaldson. We will have a full review of her down the line, complete with shots of her Kuriboh and poster, but for now take a look at the gallery to see her in all her glory. I have to admit that she was one of my most anticipated figures of the year, mainly because of my love for all things Yu-Gi-Oh, and Koto has definitely delivered. The design is dead-on, and her quality is top-notch. No overlap or paint blotching, and her coloring is beautiful and vibrant. Both of the faces are great, though it's clear from comments around the 'net that the winking face is the fan favorite! Her base, too, is fantastic, and for once I actually want to display a kneeling figure with her base! So what do you think, Tomopeeps? Do you have this figure on order yet, and are you looking forward to her release? Did you know? You can now get daily or weekly email notifications when humans reply to your comments.
Legacy Comments (will be imported soon)Love it. Definitely going to pick this one up sooner or later. Are you guys going to do a review? Yes, we'll be reviewing her once the production run is out! I realize now you made one mistake with this, Leah: you forgot to start the post with "ATTENTION DUELISTS" :) I really do like this figure, it has all the qualities of DMG, even extras and an awesome stand. However, I'm kind of afraid of getting it with where the wand is, plus lack of funds/space. luckily, she's not sold out yet so I'll decide with the review! 1:00 PM on 05.22.2013 Dengeki's got an exclusive Mikoto MisakaDengeki gets a bunch of great exclusives and it looks like they've captured another one, as shots have leaked out showing the magazine has a new version of A Certain Scientific Railgun heroine Mikoto Misaka waiting in th...
