I recently shared photos of Eric Wirjanata's newest project, The Neighborhood, and now he has kindly shared images of four new friends that will be joining them in his solo exhibition at Plastic Culture. Starting on September 3rd you'll be able to check out Eric's solo exhibition, "Things Aren't Getting Any Prettier In This Neighborhood", and meet all of these friends for yourself.
First up are the Black Evil Servants, who are a gang that are trying to look cool by using a scary name. tBES usually just spend their time scamming people since they don't have much to do. They've been a nemesis of the Deadly Duo, but are mostly just a couple kids with ugly outfits. The first is Kaizer, who is the boss. He has two faces, which makes it incredibly easy to tell that you can't trust this guy. He steals and scams everyone with everything, from credit cards to selling bootlegged DVDs. Kween is Kaizer's right hand, and possibly his lover too, some might say. Kween usually has a big part in the tBES scam strategy.
Next up are the Trashbots, who are robots that come from the future. Most of them are retired mercenaries, and the one joining us today is Ultrabot. Ultrabot is a very old robot with his design being inspired by old Tokusatsu movies from Japan. He's not as deadly as he was in his younger days, but sometimes its motherboard would make him go berserk and cause chaotic trouble.
Be sure to keep checking Thunder Panda for all of the new information on Eric's latest escapades, and a big thanks to him again for passing along the fabulous new pictures. If any of you live near Jakarta, Indonesia I would definitely suggest you check out the show as well. It's already shaping up to be quite the exhibition!
