Tomopop Event Roundup: Smorkin' good signingsEven though New York Comic Con is over, the events keep on coming! Or, in some cases, they've already come and we've been so busy we haven't had time to post on them. Don't fret: Tomopop is here to help give you the info you'll need about events happening this weekend and beyond in one easy-to-digest little roundup! Remember: the easiest way to keep track of events is with the Tomopop Calendar of Events. We update it regularly as we get information (though some events have more info than others), plus you can go back to previous months since we started it to check out past events! After the jump, we'll give you the rundown on things ongoing, opening this weekend and coming up in the near future. Past

Kozik: A Tribute to the Master — opening Friday, Nov. 2; 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. Pacific — 1AM Gallery (1000 Howard St., San Francisco) For more than 30 years, Frank Kozik has been hard at work in the art scene, whether it's creating posters for bands like Nirvana, The Smashing Pumpkins and the Foo Fighters to the designer toys most of you are more probably more familiar with. To pay tribute to his career, 1AM Gallery in San Francisco is doing a Kozik tribute show opening on Nov. 2. Running through Dec. 1, the event features original Kozik-inspired art and customs from artists including Jermaine Rogers, the Print Mafia, Brian Ewing, Scrojo, Artmymind, Chauskoskis, Run DMB, Tim Munz, Grimsheep, JC Rivera, Gomi, Luihz Unreal, Kevin Gosselin, Igor Ventura, Map-Map, Ardabus Rubber and Lick Your Elbow. Run-DMB's custom Sarge Smorkin' Monger, The Old Lie, and Ardabus' painting, Echo's Brother — inspired by Kozik's Beethoven bust — can be found teased in the gallery. Other events coming up include Tamashii Nation 2012 and Volks Hobby Round 8 in Japan (more on both of those later); and a little event called DesignerCon on Nov. 3 in Pasadena, Calif. Did you know?
