Tomopop About Town: Sketchbot release and signing!

1:00 AM on 06.15.2010 // Tomopop Staff

On Friday night, myplasticheart held the official release of the Sketchbot vinyl figure! Designed by Steve Talkowski, the Sketchbot is a one eyed drawing machine (literally)! The original release comes in orange, has a big pencil accessory, and has 6 points of articulation (arms, hands, legs). Lots of people were on hand for the release and Sketchbots were flying out the store! Steve also took the time to add a sketch to my sketchbook and due to a conversation between myself, fellow staff member Leah Bayer, and Steve, he decided upon drawing us a Banana Sketchbot!

If you want to see what other people have done with the Sketchbot platform, you can check out our coverage of the Sketchbot Custom Show, and if you want a Sketchbot for yourself you can purchase one from myplasticheart's website for $34.99. Steve will also be out at Crewest in LA this Saturday signing more Sketchbots, so definitely swing by if you can and get a Sketchbot for yourself. I can't wait for the next colorway and the do it yourself editions in the fall!
