This past Saturday, I had the chance to check out the latest show at the Bear and Bird Gallery in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. Located inside of Tate's Comics, an Eisner Award-winning store, the latest show featured toys as not just playthings, but as kick-ass pieces of art. Across each wall of the upstairs gallery were gorgeous shots. From Voltron to Star Wars to He-Man, many childhood memories were displayed in these portraits.

I would like to extend a special thank you to Bear and Bird Gallery, curator Mrs. A. Pants, and Tomopop user tCi for joining me and taking pictures of this event. The exhibit will be on display until July 31st, so stop by to see them for yourself and possibly take one home, as several of the pieces are for sale! Hit the jump for a special tour of the gallery by Mrs. A. Pants and be sure to check out the photo gallery below!
