Why has the Macross franchise not enjoyed the same level of success as Gundam? For the most part the storytelling seems to be at least on par with that of the Gundam series

Which series is your favorite. (Original and Plus for me)
I'm a pretty big Macross mecha collector. Assuming some or all of you collect Valks do you prefer the 1/48 or 1/60 scale for the Yamato VF-1 line? I personally have several in both scales but prefer 1/60 for the better articulation.
Did anyone shell out for the 1/3000 SDF-1? Which mode do you display it in?

How is harmygold still around and inflecting so much damage upon us american macross fans when they don't make anything anymore to support them? When will they just go under and free macross?
What is your favorite macross/robotech video game? Mine is battlecry for the gamecube and even though I don't like robotech for harmony gold. that is still a really fun game with a neet idea for a side story.

Too many Robotech fans. I liked Robotech when it first came out but after I learned the truth behind it I just stuck to Macross. Don't get me wrong I love the old Robotech (awesome intro), but the main story came out of Macross so I don't see a reason to keep my nostalgia googles when I can just watch the original
My favourite is Do You Remember Love followed by Frontier, and Frontier would be first if Sheryl didn't grate on my nerves so much.

We have the VF1 based on the F-14 Tomcat and the Nightmare based on the F-117 Nighthawk, so got any ideas?

We known Macross as Robotech back in the days, did anyone ever collect the really old toys that harmony gold released? I remember having a Lisa Hayes (Misa) doll when I was a young girl. To my surprise rewatching the series in the original Japanese language, the dubbed dialogue made this show into one crazy love drama.

Ok, my question is... is there any way that we the people who love Macross all around the world can persuade Shoji Kawamori (and/or whoever has the power) to give us an animated hint about what has happened to the Megaroad and its crew over the last 20 years??
I'm not asking for a direct sequel or an epilogue, I believe the world should never see the end of that expedition because that would keep our imaginations going forever and there's nothing more beautiful than that IMHO. But wouldn't it be TOTALLY DECULTURE if someone managed to intercept a breakthrough transmission from the center of the galaxy featuring a brand new Minmei song?!
