And Pedro turned traitor because he just wasn't man enough to resist the siren's call of Otakon. You're a strong bunch, staying home... Like me. Resist. Resist!
Anyways, out of wonderfestival, what was the most exciting part of it and the most disappointing part of it for you guys?
For me the most exciting part was the reveal of a Kotobukiya Medabots line, since that series has plenty of awesome designs I'll probably buy.
Most disappointing was no FLCL figma or revoltech. Actually, I found most of the figma reveals to be disappointing.
What Disney figures would you like to see come out in the near future since Sideshow has released Chernoborg and Malecfient and those two are drool worthy what character or villians would you like to see.
Ah, Saturday mornings. Reminds me of the good ol' days with the Challenge of the Superfriends. Who was everybody's favorite member of the Legion of Doom? (also I miss those cool BK cupholders that were around that time. And I'm nostalgic for my poor Donatello cereal bowl, you know, where the whole bowl was a turtle character and you were kinda eating the cereal out of their stomach area but you didn't think it was creepy because you were just a kid?). I imagine I probably slept through Saturday mornings for the most part. Oh sure, there was TMNT. And the Real Ghostbusters. And He-Man and the Masters of the Universal. Visionaries. Plus Thunder Cats, ho! Frigging loved Thunder Cats, probably my fave cartoon as a kid. Really wish they'd do new figures for it. Supposedly they have a movie on the way, but I imagine that'll be a shitfest. It's amazing, though, since you can really appreciate something like Thunder Cats on one level as a kid but after you grow up you appreciate it on entirely different levels like the sheer campiness of the dialogue ("I can feel my sword growing in my hands!") and improbabilities like fighting & falling in space. I think Centurions around that time, too. Plus way later on Freakazoid and the Tick came along. Shame they never really made Freakazoid toys. Woulda killed someone for a Candle Ja--- can't say that name. Oh, and all of those other obvious marketing vessels like GI Joes and Transformers. At any rate, I'll have to dig around and see if I still have my original Tiny Toons NES game.
Also, they never seemed to do a lot of figures for Scooby Doo despite it being a massive title. I have a lot of the fast food-related toys for it, but I always had a hard time finding like actual figures (up until I found a 5set earlier this year). The early cancellation of Thirteen Ghosts of Scooby Doo was tragic.
Ah, Saturdays. I imagine even among the Tomopop staff there's a time-span's difference between everyone so I'll be interested in hearing about everybody's favorite Saturday morning cartoons and what drew them into the series.
If there was a zombie outbreak in a convention, what would be the first thing you grab and run, what figures would you most likely throw at the zombies?
And props on the Darkwing Duck references. I loved the toys and show.
