Tomocast episode 11: Personacast (also, pretending to be sad) photo

We tried. Really, we tried extremely hard. We just couldn't make ourselves feel sad about missing the San Diego Comic Con. We were just having too damn much fun chilling out and making each other laugh. I echo the sentiments of many of us when I say that this was the most fun I've ever had on a podcast. I hope that comes through when you give it a listen! Even the breaks were hilarious, so you're getting an unedited 2 1/2 hour long podcast!

Joining me in this Left Behind edition of the Tomocast are my regular cohorts Pedro Cortes and Jonathan "Domo arigato, Mr. Roboto" Tubbs. We were joined by two very special guests, the queen of crafts and customs, Rio McCarthy, and the adorable assassin, Stella Wong!

We cover a wide range of topics including a discussion of Toy Story 3 (including spoilers), a brief talk about The Princess and the Frog (which we literally bring up just to ruin the entire ending), getting the vapahs over Chad Concelmo, the amazing Macho Man hip-hop album, and I makes a promise for the 25th episode.

In lieu of our normal segment discussing preorders we cover the recent scans that came out of the September issue Hobby Japan. Just follow right along with our handy dandy post!

Legacy Comments

A Persona podcast? I'm down! I don't have the game, though, figuring the other two versions were enough, but like one of you guys said I'm curious to play as a female. Maybe it's the vibrant pink colors in her menu screen.

As for Stretch Arm Strong, a friend told me that those things were filled with punch powder. Well, not the ones they brought back in the 90s! My cousin and myself got the genius idea to open one up, and this clear gel came oozing out. Cool! What wasn't cool was it was insanely thick and it wouldn't stop pouring out his arm. It spilled on the carpet and we had to put a mini dresser over it to hide from our parents.
Seriously, it practically cemented the carpet...

Love the Eas (Higashi Setsuna) figure, too.
that was bonkers!
I can't believe you didn't edit this podcast people have no idea why we are laughing so hard in the beginning

also the picture is so colorful!! *A*

I just found the website and podcast and I LOVE IT!!!! I have just learned to accept the fact that I am a wannabe serious toy collector. I have collected things here and there, but was never really dedicated to collecting. Now, I'm totally hooked! I live in the Washington DC area and would like o know if you guys are going to Otakon? I am heading there this weekend and would love to hook up with you guys so you can completely immerse me... Baptize me in toys! Keep up the good work!
Tomopop will definitely be making its presence felt at Otakon. While I'm not privy to the full details, our esteemed editor-in-chief, Colette Bennett and Pedro Cortes from Tomocast will be doing a panel there. Leah and Stephen will also be attending, and probably others. You should maybe write up a c-blog to try and set-up some meet-ups.

We're happy that you found us and enjoy the site and the podcast. Welcome to the club!
In case you didn't know, a partial translation patch is now publicly available for the first Tokimeki Memorial Girl's Side DS game. It took some patience, but I got it to work. The patch covers about 83 percent of the game, but there are untranslated sections. So be sure to browse GameFAQs for some documents which will help you understand those parts, and the gameplay in general.

If you have trouble getting TMGS to work, then you might enjoy some of the similar freeware visual novels in the Renai Archive (girl-oriented games at renai.us/category/GxB), or the Flash games reviewed on girlgamereview.blogspot.com . If you find those appealing, then Hanako Games has some free demos of its indie games, which only cost ten or twenty dollars each.
I has no problem with playing TMGS because i play it in Japanese though I'm curious of how they did the translation so I will look into it when it's 100% completed! Thank you for letting us know :3
