Tomocast ep 5 is coming ... in October! photo

Hey all you Tomocast fans -- I'd like to apologize for the lateness of this month's show. Unfortunately, we have to ask you to wait just a bit longer for episode 5. Due to staff scheduling conflicts and my trip to Japan for Tokyo Game Show next week, we just couldn't quite slap one together this month. However, as soon as I get home we will record episode 5 -- and I will return with many stories of my adventures!

In the meantime, if you have anything you'd like us to talk about when we do record episode 5, please don't hesitate to ask in the comments below. We'll make a proper comments post when we are about to record as well, but feel free to tell us now what you'd like to hear about too!

MOAR Tomocast:

Legacy Comments

Talk about figures that got inexplicably made from obscure source material.
@garison - scariest picture ever!
@garison,
Forwarding therapy bills to you.
@garison - so much for peaceful sleep

@Colette - Certainly a justifiable reason for not tomocasting, although the dissapointment of it being delayed was not helped knowing you would be at the TGS while us poor people are stuck in the states :) Oh, well, have fun and bring back soem good stories!
I apologize everyone. Have a great time in Tokyo, Colette. You'll love it =D
well this is assuming when you come back from Nippon >:3

What kind of insane prices and toys and rarity of figures did you find? Was there a gold mind of figures you found in one place or did you have to hop from place to place?

As for other members::

As a collector do you find that you are burned out by the constant figures coming out every single month? Do you think for the higher quality of figures comes with a higher price?
@Aiya: personally I'm not burned out at all but thats mostly because recently there have been a lot of moe figures flooding the market(k-on, nendoroids ect) and I have an extremely high moe-resistance. It is my moe-resist genes that allow me to save money in these financially tight, but moe saturated times.

Also I have a very important philosophy to collecting: 95% of my collection must come from a series that I really like or characters I love. This still allows me to buy from series I haven't seen (like the kimono Shiki by Goodsmile) but it makes me think real hard before purchasing. Even for a series I have seen, the figures must be very high quality in the first place - important if there are multiple sculpts of the same character.
