Despite most being fairly lousy, it's amazing how popular these were/are. Some of the hilariously bad theme songs were downright addictive so maybe it was all subliminal. What I do know was that these things were crazy spoofed, my favorite parody being the Axem Rangers. But hey, any excuse to work SMRPG into a conversation. Hey... is that Culex over there...?

Agreed with Scarecroodle, the Axem Rangers were the best super sentai team.

Also, unrelated to podcast at hand, but would you guys mind putting the older episodes of Tomocast on iTunes? I know you switched servers and the middle episodes probably weren't the most professional (lol 2 hour personacast). But I really enjoyed listening to them!

If you were a ranger, which color would you be?

Also, why is the black ranger almost always the coolest? Sure, he doesn't get any super special items/gimmicks half the time but Walter Emmanuel Jones was clearly cooler than his mostly white colleagues and JBY ratcheted it up two more stages.

Will you also be discussing post-sentei careers? I think JBY is the only one to really make something of himself. Was surprised to see WEJ in some bank commercials (bear in mind he was on that terrible Nick scifi years ago after MMPR). Thuy Tung (sp?) is just dead, for instance.

How do you think Sentai series have changed modern american sci-fi? like action sequences etc.

What I want to know is how many rangers are there in the entire series, and if they could do a massive Rangers Army episode with all of them.

I mean really, I know that they pulled some plot stunts that would make it very hard, but isn't that what the rangers is about?

So how many rangers are there? Enough for an army?
