It was very interesting to listen to the Transformers perspective from the Tomocast! Being on the Seibertron.com staff for 4 years and ongoing, fans tend to get f-ing jaded very easily, so it's good to see a fresh and happy perspective on the franchise.
Been a Transformers fan since I was 6 back in 1996. Had a handful of Beast Wars toys from parents. Took a break with R.I.D. I'm generally shunned by many 'normal aka G1 fan' Seibertronians as Transformers: Armada was my favorite series, and spent most of my adolescent allowance on the figures. 10 years later, I've completed the American version of the Armada toyline, and just fishing out the rest of the Takara version of Armada, called Micron Legend. Took a break with toys past Armada(sans some Energon and Cybertron toys), and got back into TFs in '07. I'm a big fan of the '07 Movie toys because of the Movie, as well as Transformers Animated. Revenge of the Fallen toy line ticked me off, but thankfully some of the '08-11 toylines Universe and Generations kept me in. Basically now I'm a Mini-con collector, as well as a Japanese exclusive slut. ^_^. And thankfully, my good friend helped me all the BotCon '11 Animated figures which will set my Animated collection apart from others, lol elitist me.
And Hiroko's quick reference to Red Dust is referring to The Return of Optimus Prime Pt. 1 and Pt. 2.. where Red Dust came from an steroid and turned Transformers into Rage Zombies.. pretty awful, I concur.
Oh, and yeah... Transformers Kiss Players was... god, I'm not going to talk about KP.
Correct. My fellow fans in the TF fandom tend to have a few screws loose. Couldn't say it any nicer.
Kk, Nerd talk over.
Great episode, keep it up!

Buddy, I'm going to get you a new camera for a graduation gift. ;) I also demand you travel several thousand miles to hang out with us at Otakon.
Anyway. It's very interesting hearing other perspectives on the hobby, so this was a lot of fun to listen to.

Oh, for sure. The wife and I are pretty excited about the whole thing actually. I think the only thing we have planned so far is the Persona 3 midnight photo shoot (assuming they get it together...) so, we'll definitely be there.
At any rate, I've always had some measure of admiration for Transformers fans and the community. It's impressive how the franchise has not only survived but flourished throughout the years. Equally impressive are the sizable collections often accumulated from youth. Regrettably, my own early collection dwindled to nothingness from room cleanings, moves, and one most unfortunate hurricane (in the form of Andrew, which I imagine at least a few Tomopoppers are probably old enough to remember). All I have is what I picked up from when I was into Beast Wars, a few intermittent interest items (the Armada Starscream, since I had a serious Starscream craving after playing Transformers on the ps2), and then some recent items.

Yar in a couple of weeks I'll start posting about it to arrange this, not to mention waiting to make sure we put it together at a good time according to the con schedule as well as picking a good spot. I've never been to Otakon, so I'm relying on the other editors and folks around here who have attended to agree on a good place.
Could you guys not imbed an auto-loading sound file in the post next time? >_> Keep coming back to see what new stuff people have posted only to get blasted by that sound.
Huh, I thought I fixed that. I'll check that when I get home later.

I've been big on Transformers for a bit and got a fair few toys old and new alike, seen the series ect.
I actually wanted to drop a comment that I enjoyed the discussions alot, even though I can outdo you on some points.
Anyway this would also be for Christian, but do you also by extension hate Robots in Disguise?
Because in all fairness, I understand the look of the show and humor may have been not to everyone's tastes, but Beast Wars season 1 had some really funny or commedy type episodes.
Besides personally I would have been far more tempted to throw Beast Machines in to the pit due to how it being a sequel to G1 and Beast Wars, kind of really doesn't end the original reality on the best of notes.
Anyway that is my first comment on Tompop on Transformers.
Also just to throw it out there, Robots in Disguise Scougre is awesome.
