SURPRISE POD EVERYBODY!

Thanks to the buggery that is the university education system, I was unable to put up a question post for this lovely show. Damn shame too. Oh well, at least you to hear me joined by Andres Cerrato, Hiroko Yamamura and MAHQ founder Chris Guanche to talk robots for 80 minutes. I'm not going to lie, it was a ton of fun to talk about Macross, Gundam, Gurren Lagann and all manner of mechanical mobile devices. There's also a tremendous amount of robo-lust, so be prepared for fangasms over various model kits and toys.

You can download the show over here if you haven't subscribed on iTunes yet. We'd certainly appreciate some ratings as well, so please leave one if you got a couple of minutes. Hit the jump for the show notes and some additional links!

All musical tracks are from the Operation British chiptune album. Give it a listen, it's awesome.

Opening: Super Dimensional Fortress Macross 'Macross Theme'L

Break: Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann 'Sorairo Days'

Ending: Mobile Suit Gundam 0083: Stardust Memory 'The Winner'

Figures discussed:

Pyramid Head from Silent Hill: Homecoming will violate your wallet.

Master Grade Epyon has long, lovely legs.

This SDF-1 makes all our trousers tight.

Super Robot Chogokin GaoGaiGar has the best name for yelling out in a hot-blooded manor.

The hideous Gundams we talked about on the pod:

I don't even know what the hell this is supposed to be.

The Cuban Gundam!

If you want more mecha, hit up MAHQ's Gundamn, where Chris and his two co-hosts talk shop about everything from the latest Gundam and Macross series to classic shows from the 80s. It's good stuff.

WOW!! Surprise tomocast. Thanks, now I have something to listen while at work.
Just seeing a picture of GaoGaiGar used as a header image brings me untold joy :-D
Kinda disappointed, an hour and a half podcast and not a single mention of Super Robot Wars...
Dudes, if you ever have a Transformers themed episode, give me a ring. Y'all have my number.

Oh man, SRW. I realized that after the episode finished that we never got to it. I'll probably have to have a specialized episode somewhere down the line for SRW :D

Are we talking about just the OG stuff here, or the entire game series with its numerous mecha shows mixed in? That reminds me, need to find out what's happening with my Super robot wars Z 2...

In that case, would 1 Tomocast be enough? Hell, I could talk about the SRW alpha series for an hour on my own!!! (probably)
It's not like they're going to do a massive dissertation about the whole franchise.

Plus maybe then I won't be the only person who cares about the upcoming Kotobukiya Soulgain model kit. :P
I can't get Tomocast to update in iTunes :(

But yea...if you DO ever get around to a Transformers themed podcast, hit me up. I'm the current host on Seibertron's Twincast. It'd be a lot of fun.

You probably have the old feed. Try the link at the top of the post or search for Tomocast in iTunes and look for the one with me as the producer. Any other problems let me know and I'll see what I can do.

Alphamax's one-piece Kuroneko is ready for pre-orders

We saw Alphamax's one-piece dress Kirino go up for pre-orders a few weeks ago and, as is the immutable law when it comes to Oreimo, Kuroneko was sure to follow soon. Now she's here, sporting a similar dressed-down look to Kir...
