Tokyo Doll's 'Shy Mate' line is a bit more herp and derp than shy photo

Tokyo Doll's new "Shy Mate" line is the newest 60cm (1/3rd scale) doll line to grace the market. If the Volks' Dollfie line is too beautiful for your style, and you have enough money to blow for two Dollfies, then these are the dolls for you! Featuring three new girls, Mai (Herp), Yu (Dee), and Rosie (Derp), all girls take things to the extremes with their inclusion of dynamite busts. Each girl will be available in a variety of options as well, so that you can bring the awkwardness home in whatever way floats your boat.

You can get Mai, Yu, or Rosie with skin colors ranging from white skin, cream skin, fresh skin, pink skin, or orange skin (if you're a fan of The Jersey Shore or Willy Wonka). Also, depending on make up and finger wire options, there're 4 different price points: 88,200 yen for no make up or wire in the fingers, 98,070 yen for either make up and no finger wire or finger wire and no make up, and lastly, the whole shebang for 107,940 yen.

Yes, you read those prices right; each of these retails for about the same price as the new Saber Lily Dollfie which comes with armor, a sword, and many layers of clothing, and judging from the comments on our post of her, is a fan favorite as well. So, if you've got a thing for awkward looking faces, about a thousand dollars to blow, and giant plastic breasts, then "Shy Mate" is perfect for you, but personally, I'll be sticking with Dollfies and Azone dolls for the time being.

These are scary.
About the only positive things I can think to say about them are: nice legs and Yu ... Dee is slightly less creepy than the other two (which isn't saying much).
Why did i start crying?
I just can't fathom how things like this make it to market. Anyone can look at it and say, "This is wrong". How come no one during the design process stop production and start over. All they had to do was fix the face.

Same thing with that giant Airi figure. Seriously, if you are going to spend that much time and money to make a giant ecchi figure then get the face right. Other companies can do it. Why can't you?
Herp derp has been a far lamer fad than even dee dee dee / ddd...
I think you guys are over reacting. Their faces aren't as bad as you say. Yes, Herp and Durp's face proportions are slightly different from usual, but that's mostly artistic differences. Herp would make a nice Amano character.

They're also the prettiest jointless dolls I've seen. Their bodys isn't EXTREMELLY awkward like most jointless dolls are. They even have nice knees!
With that said, I'm looking foward to see how those can pose and whether the final product does indeed look like this.
@lol at vampybit

I agree with Fychan about the jointlessness. There is something just weird about those faces though.
Something about the faces is just off and I would not spend that much on these.
DERRRRRP I'm a volks wannabe HUUUUUUUUUURP
I think I like this one the best.
