The italian company, tokidoki, will be joining other designer toymakers at next week's Comic Con and, to celebrate the occasion, they are featuring a countdown on their blog and FaceBook page that is unveiling news and exclusives all the way up to the start of the con. Highlights thus far include a limited edition Muddy Porcino figure, Silver Porcino and Truffle figures, and a signing event with Simone Legno, the co-founder and creative director of tokidoki. More surprises will be revealed each day, so those interested should be sure to check on tokidoki's blog daily (or just scroll through it the day before SDCC).

That's not all tokidoki has for toy lovers. According to Spanky Stokes, the company recently announced a new collection of vinyl and plush toys called "Punkstar." The set will start to be released sometime this month and feature a 3 inch tall vinyl punk rocker dog named Rudy (US$9.95), Maxx the 9 inch tall plush monkey (US$19.95), as well as a new series of blind boxed 1 and a half inch figures called Punkstar Frenzies (US$5.95 each). The blind boxes will be coming to stores a little later than the other goods but I am sure it will be worth the wait.
