What's that, you said? Didn't have enough exclusives to buy at SDCC? Don't fret, Diamond Select is willing to sell you Minimate beyond Minimate with a Thundercats set featuring Lion-O, Panthro, Mumm-Ra, Jaga, and Snarf (Snarf, Snarf!).

While I had heard that Diamond Select would be doing Thundercats Minimates (SDCC is only the beginning, supposedly there  will be a normal line), today was the first time I saw that I saw the awesome photo gallery for the figures. The Lion-O and Mumm-Ra look particularly impressive; Mumm-Ra more-so, given the additional display options courtesy of the removable hood and robe. Plus he's just so darn cute.

While all the figures get accessories (except Snarf, who as a minifigure technically qualifies as an accessory anyway), only Lion-O seems to get an alternate head. However, it's worth noting that Jaga has a translucent body (only really noticeable when light is shone behind him) which is pretty cool because he's a ghost (we didn't ask questions with '80s cartoons). The set will be on sale for US$20 at Booth #3345 (Action Figure Xpress) and seems worth the price. 

For those attending SDCC, there will be a Minimates panel at 1:30pm on Saturday in Meeting Room 8 where I assume Minimates will be discussed and I've heard free things will given away (I don't know about you, but I'd love some free stuff...). It's basically incentavizing something you'd probably want to attend anyway (you know, if you were going to SDCC.  Which I'm not. Are you?)
