Welcome to the first of many in a new series, Through the Looking Glass, where we here at Tomopop take some time out to show off some of our favorite figures in a different light. Whereas reviews focus on the nitty gritty of the paint, sculpting, and whatnot, here we just sit back, relax, and look at some beautiful figures and just enjoy them. No bashing, no praise, just appreciation that these figures were even made in the first place.
First up is the lovely Momohime from Alter. You may have already seen Colette's review of her, but today, we don't judge, we just chillax, kind of like that video of Sonic the Hedgehog on easy mode with the nice jazz music in the background. Momohime is just a joy to photograph; she looks amazing at any angle and her colors pop so much that you could take her to a back alley and the photographs would still look amazing.
Ever since I first saw Momohime, I knew that I just had to take her to a waterfall and take pictures of her, and thankfully there's one in the town I live in a few blocks away. I also decided to impromptu take her along with me on a trip up to coworker Leah Bayer's aunt's house in the mountains of New York and shoot her in the magnificent garden there. I really lucked out to find purple plants the same color as Momohime there and I feel like the greenery on hand emulated forests, green fields, caverns, and other large natural locations perfectly on a smaller scale. So, go on and click through the gallery and remember, just relax. Here, I'll even get you started.

Yes! There is lots of good news for Tales fans this morning. ALTaiR's Jude Mathis from Tales of Xillia just shipped out to buyers. I'm hoping that mine shows up early next week.
ALTaiR just kindly released some assembly advice on their blog which people who purchased the figurine may want to review. Hit the jump to see a few basic instructions on how to safely assemble him.
