Through the Looking Glass: Alter's 1/8th Momohime photo

Welcome to the first of many in a new series, Through the Looking Glass, where we here at Tomopop take some time out to show off some of our favorite figures in a different light. Whereas reviews focus on the nitty gritty of the paint, sculpting, and whatnot, here we just sit back, relax, and look at some beautiful figures and just enjoy them. No bashing, no praise, just appreciation that these figures were even made in the first place.

First up is the lovely Momohime from Alter. You may have already seen Colette's review of her, but today, we don't judge, we just chillax, kind of like that video of Sonic the Hedgehog on easy mode with the nice jazz music in the background. Momohime is just a joy to photograph; she looks amazing at any angle and her colors pop so much that you could take her to a back alley and the photographs would still look amazing.

Ever since I first saw Momohime, I knew that I just had to take her to a waterfall and take pictures of her, and thankfully there's one in the town I live in a few blocks away. I also decided to impromptu take her along with me on a trip up to coworker Leah Bayer's aunt's house in the mountains of New York and shoot her in the magnificent garden there. I really lucked out to find purple plants the same color as Momohime there and I feel like the greenery on hand emulated forests, green fields, caverns, and other large natural locations perfectly on a smaller scale. So, go on and click through the gallery and remember, just relax. Here, I'll even get you started.

FIRST! I kid, I kid. But seriously, this is my favorite photoshoot that you have done so far, and considering the work you did on Velvet and Mercedes.... well, that's saying a lot!
If a bad Monohime photo exists, I have yet to see it...
What kind of plants are those? They make the image look so surreal. They're so tall, almost looks like an alien planet or a faerie world.
I here by request the high res versions of this pictures and also request the permission to print these for my own self and display them on my wall. Also, some of them would make great backgrounds as well. Mainly, I have been looking for a new print and these would make an amazing choice. :P
Absolutely inspiring! Fantastic job man!

Some of these need to be made into wallpapers!

1920 X 1080 Please!

I'm going to upload these to MFC and Flickr later on and I'll post the links here. Go ahead and post them on your walls; I'm actually planning on doing that myself =P. I'll also make a few wallpaper sized ones as well. What sizes would people want?[/quote]
Whoa! That's a real amazing shoot, probably if not the best one of the best I seen. You're pretty courageous getting her wet from the water. I have to wear gloves to move my Momohime figure just because I'm scared something might happen to it....haha. Anyways, fantastic shoot.
I'm still waiting on my own Momohime, gotta wait until mid September! Some of the drawbacks of ordering from US retailers, but I'll end up saving some moneys :)
Any chance we can have these pics in HD? I would love to use one as my background. Just gorgeous work on this photo shoot! : )
Thank you thank you thank you! When I get the money, I'm going to send word to thebobness and get these printed. Oh and perfect for the wallpaper sizes, just what I wanted! Oh so perfect!
Those are some fantastic pictures. I don't know how I could appreciate my momo figure anymore, but those pics made me somehow. Thanks for the wallpapers as well, definitely quality enough for me to gaze upon daily.
Thank you for the high res snaps, its astonishing how these pictures look identical to the art in the game.

I'll be waiting for your request!!! =D in the meantime im so using these for my new wallpaper
Awesome photos! I want to get her even more now T_T Which I should probably do soon before she's sold out everywhere and discontinued -__-
Great pics! I was so close to buying this so many times. I don't know why I didn't make the final push but I still want it. The purple on the stockings and the detail is what does it for me. The colors really pop!
seriously love these images. love love love.
plant = super win
lovely figure just ordered her from amiami .
