Coming up for pre-order in the Bambaland Store at 9 p.m. Eastern (6 p.m. Pacific, 9 a.m. Friday in Hong Kong) is ThreeA's first Team Fortress 2 1/6-scale figure, the Robot Heavy. While being a major pain-in-the-butt when playing Mann vs. Machine mode, the Robot Heavy figure does not deflect your bullets or have a bunch of Robot Medics tailing it. Instead, you get LED illuminated eyes and 12 inches of minigun-toting robotic mayhem. Oh, and I should mention that there's two exclusives to this release: a set of BLU boxing glove hands that's only coming with Bambaland orders, and an exclusive TF2 item. It's probably a hat, because 80 percent of the time, it's a hat 100 percent of the time.
Robot Heavy is going to be available in three different ways: as either a RED or BLU version for US$220, or as a two-figure set of both colorways for US$400. The set is a Bambaland exclusive, while the individual figures will see a retail release in the coming months, sans the boxing gloves.
I'm pretty excited about this release, but more so for the Robot Pyro (which we saw at SDCC 2013). There's a tiny compulsion that makes me want to run out and get the Robot Heavy just so I can have a complete collection, but I do need to check my budget. How about the rest of you?
