[UPDATE] ThreeA debuts 1/6 Halo figures up for order photo

Going back to September of 2011, ThreeA announced that they had acquired the license to the Halo franchise. We didn't get to see a preview of what they had in store until this past April when they sneaked out shots of Carter-A259. If you've been patiently waiting for the full reveal, today's the day as they officially announce their 1/6 figures of the aforementioned Commander Carter and Commando Spartan Mark V.

I don't think that anyone here is going to dispute the quality of these figures. ThreeA has made sure they went above and beyond what's expected of the typical 1/6-scale figure. Each of the figures will be 13.5 inches, as Spartans are just bit taller than 6 feet. As for the suits, the armor is attached to a rubber suit which goes over the entire body. What's really cool about the armor is that it's magnetized to allow the attachment of weapons to it not to mention the hands which have full articulation. That's not enough for ThreeA as there are fiber optics throughout the suit to light up the helmet and various sensors about the armor. As for weaponry, the two will come with the same armaments: the M392 DMR (Designated Marksman Rifle), 2 of the M9 HE-DP APG Frag Grenade, and a Combat Knife with sheath.

As for what separates the two other than design, it will be availability. ThreeA will be keeping the Commando Spartan Mark V exclusive to their Bambaland store while Commander Carter will be available to select distributors. Each of the figures will be available for $200 each, which is not a bad price for what you're getting. The two will both go on sale next week on Wednesday, August 1st at the ThreeA shop, so stay tuned for the update when that happens.

The figures look great but I can only imagine that some fans are going, "Where is Master Chief?" Nevermind Master Chief, he will come soon enough. Just enjoy these two figures, they're definitely nothing to pass over if you are a Halo fan, and should definitely be worth the money.

[UPDATE: Pre-orders for Carter A-259 and the Commando Spartan Mark V are open on the Bambaland store right now. Also worth noting: this is your only chance to grab the Bambaland-exclusive Spartan Mark V! - Brian]
