This Virtual On X Hatsune miku Fei Yen is a real thing!! photo

When we first covered the Fei Yen Miku ver a while back, a part of me really did hope that it was just simply a very bad practical joke. Well, it looks like I was wrong as the fully completed Composite Ver Ka Fei Yen HD (tentative name) was shown in all her "glory" at Comiket 80 this weekend.

No release date was given nor any indication if this will be a general or limited release item so everything is pretty much up in the air at this point. Are any Miku fans (Or Virtual On fans for that matter) thinking of picking her up? I'm still trying to work out if this is an act of genius or idiocy while preparing myself for the inevitable hostile attack and attempted takeover by the machines, with Miku being a figurehead of the enemy assault!

And we thought the Haruhi mecha idea was weird!

MOAR WTF Japan?:

Legacy Comments

Looks pretty good to me. Fairly tempted to get it, however in all the Miku hate (or seeming hatred of the character) coming from the previous and current article, I feel some major information was lost.

Is this a pre-built figure or a model kit? (I'm aware of the Fei-yen model kits, but the elbows are making me think Figma joints, for some reason.)

Hoping towards model kit, so I can look forward to building Mecha Hatsune. XD

It's for Composite Ver. Ka by Bandai which is a figure line, not models. Basically they do concept pieces like the tattooed Gurren Lagann and the Haruhi Suzumiya mech frame. Glad it's a figure because I doubt I have the talent to do all of those lines if it was a model.

Yeah, I want it.
Do want...just for the absurdity of it :D.
Ya know, if you take a look at the other Fei-Yen designs, this really isnt all that WTF. I mean seriously, with all the other versions of Miku I've seen done, the similarities between the two made something like this inevitable. I'll probably have to pick this up, if I can afford it. the only real questions is, will it be in scaale with my old Kotobukiya Apharmd figures?

Thanks, Emerje! Forgot about Bandai's Composite Ver. Ka line, was thinking this was a Kotobukiya release. XD
This really doesn't strike me as that bizarre of a cross-over. We've seen things like Disney and Square Enix get together to make Kingdom Hearts (which was pretty awesome at first). Even in the toy world I've seen some pretty weird stuff. The first one that pops in my head were those Tranformers and Star Wars cross-over figures. They made the millennium falcon transform into chewbacca.

I guess weird is just in the eye of the beholder, these seem pretty tame to me.
^ this

anyway... jeez such a hatered, I agree with taaron12, some info was lost.... I personally think it's an interesting figure actually,
besides... Miku is a virtual diva, yeah? Robots, virtual, etc.. I don't think it's al that strange.
